Solsken, torra v\u00e4gar och fantastiska berg gjorde att min k\u00e4rlek till cykling precis n\u00e5dde sin h\u00f6gsta niv\u00e5, men n\u00e5got annat mycket viktigare h\u00e4nde mig f\u00f6rutom en bra solbr\u00e4nna&#8230; min kost f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrades helt. Fr\u00e5n en nordeuropeisk, vit, kolhydratladdad kost, exponerades jag nu f\u00f6r medelhavskosten med f\u00e4rska gr\u00f6nsaker och frukt, med fantastiska sallader, laddade med olivolja och fisk direkt fr\u00e5n b\u00e5ten. L\u00e5ngt ifr\u00e5n min fish and chip-middag i mittlandet av Storbritannien. Salta mandlar ersatte nu mina walkers chips som mellanm\u00e5l och helt pl\u00f6tsligt blev det engelska teet med tv\u00e5 sockerarter och dubbel espresso och min pint Guinness var nu ett fint Rioja-r\u00f6tt vin. Att sk\u00e4ra ut kolhydrater och socker g\u00f6r det l\u00e4ttare att minska kaloriintaget och komma in i ett kaloriunderskott, vilket \u00e4r n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndigt f\u00f6r viktminskning.
