Det har varit bra f\u00f6r mig att bli ombedd att skriva den h\u00e4r bloggen ocks\u00e5 \u2013 det h\u00e5ller mig ansvarig.<span class=\"s1\">So blog 6: Who\u2019d have thought I\u2019d get this far \u2013 and up to over 300km on my bike (well I have to admit, that\u2019s shared with my husband!)?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s been good for me to be asked to write this blog too \u2013 it keeps me accountable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Om du \u00e4r ny p\u00e5 det h\u00e4r, skulle jag f\u00f6resl\u00e5 att du tr\u00e4ffar n\u00e5gon via facebooksidan &#8211; eller skriver en blogg som denna. Tro mig, h\u00e4romdagen pratade jag mig ur en session, men tanken p\u00e5 att jag skulle beh\u00f6va ligga p\u00e5 min blogg sporrade mig att byta om och forts\u00e4tta med att f\u00e5 min rumpa p\u00e5 cykeln.  Att vara ansvarig inf\u00f6r n\u00e5gon\/n\u00e5got har verkligen sina f\u00f6rdelar!<span class=\"s1\">If you\u2019re new to this, I\u2019d suggest buddying up with someone via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1109189596252136\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">facebook page<\/a> \u2013 or writing a blog like this. Believe me, the other day I was talking myself out of a session, but the thought I\u2019d have to lie on my blog spurred me on to get changed and get on with getting my butt on the bike.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Being accountable to someone\/something really does have its advantages!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jag hinner med tv\u00e5 sessioner i veckan och har precis uppt\u00e4ckt filterfunktionen i appen.  \u00c4ven om jag inte vet vilken nytta det \u00e4r \u00e4n att leta efter en kortare klass, f\u00f6r de \u00e4r ALLA lika sv\u00e5ra p\u00e5 sitt s\u00e4tt \u2013 \u00e4ven de kortare.<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m managing to keep up with two sessions a week and have only just discovered the filter feature in the app.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Although what use it is other than looking for a shorter class I don\u2019t know, because they\u2019re ALL equally as difficult in their own way \u2013 even the shorter ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jag blev uppmuntrad av att l\u00e4sa p\u00e5 facebooksidan den h\u00e4r veckan om en diskussion om att st\u00e5 vid 85-90 rpm och Darrens r\u00e5d om att bygga benmuskler runt kn\u00e4leden f\u00f6r att k\u00e4nnas stabila \u2013 och om du inte klarar hela tiden att st\u00e5 vid detta varv \u2013 \u00c4R DET OK ATT SITTA NED MEN BEH\u00c5LL MOTST\u00c5NDET OCH KADENSEN!  Puh!  Mitt m\u00e5l \u00e4r att f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka st\u00e5 minst HALVAN av tiden som f\u00f6reslagits p\u00e5 sk\u00e4rmen \u2013 vilket jag typ hanterar.  Blir s\u00e5 mycket b\u00e4ttre i det lite l\u00e5ngsammare tempot men benen brinner och st\u00e5r i 85-90rpm \u2013 tillsammans med lungorna&#8230;<span class=\"s1\">I was heartened to read on the facebook page this week about a discussion on standing at 85-90rpm and Darren\u2019s advice about building leg muscles around the knee joint to feel stable \u2013 and if you can\u2019t achieve the entire time standing at this rpm \u2013 IT\u2019S OK TO SIT DOWN BUT KEEP THE RESISTANCE AND CADENCE!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Phew!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>My aim is to try and stand for at least HALF the time suggested on the screen \u2013 which I\u2019m sort of managing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Getting so much better at the slightly slower pace but the legs are on FIRE standing at 85-90rpm \u2013 along with the lungs\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jag har nu gett alla instrukt\u00f6rernas sessioner ett f\u00f6rs\u00f6k, och alla \u00e4r v\u00e4ldigt olika p\u00e5 sitt eget s\u00e4tt.  Rachel med sina galna, galna lockar som guppar runt, st\u00e4ndigt leende; Mel med sina allseende \u00f6gon som verkar veta n\u00e4r ditt huvud faller och din form b\u00f6rjar lida.  Hans &#8221;push push&#8221; och &#8221;heads up&#8221; f\u00e5r dig att fokusera om dig sj\u00e4lv och din form.  Och sj\u00e4lvklart, Darren, som ser ut som om han g\u00f6r disco, r\u00f6r sig p\u00e5 cykeln med sina handgester f\u00f6r att g\u00e5 upp till &#8221;hopphoppa&#8221; &#8211; men det \u00e4r trevligt att se dem ALLA svettas ordentligt och de f\u00e5r dig att k\u00e4nna att de jobbar lika h\u00e5rt som du!<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019ve now given all the instructors\u2019 sessions a try, and all very different in their own way.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Rachel with her mad crazy curls bobbing around, constantly smiling; Mel with his all seeing eye\u2019s who seems to know when your head drops and your form is starting to suffer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>His \u2018push push\u2019 and \u2018heads up\u2019 do make you refocus yourself and your form.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>And of course, Darren, who looks like he\u2019s doing disco moves on the bike with his hand gestures to move up to \u2018jump jump\u2019 \u2013 but it\u2019s nice to see them ALL breaking a good sweat and they make you feel they\u2019re working as hard as you are!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">K\u00e4nner jag mig piggare?  Mitt kn\u00e4 har inte haft de galna svullnader som det hade f\u00f6rra veckan, s\u00e5 jag hoppas att musklerna bygger upp sig.  Min vilopuls sjunker genast och mina fitbit-avl\u00e4sningar talar om f\u00f6r mig att jag \u00e4r i det mycket bra till utm\u00e4rkta intervallet f\u00f6r min \u00e5ldersgrupp.  Min vikt verkar inte r\u00f6ra sig MEN jag \u00e4r inte fokuserad s\u00e5 mycket p\u00e5 det h\u00e4r, mer p\u00e5 konditionen och \u00e5terh\u00e4mtning fr\u00e5n skada \u2013 om n\u00e5gra kilo f\u00f6rsvinner \u00e4r det en bonus men om de inte g\u00f6r det \u00e4r jag inte s\u00e5 sugen p\u00e5 det.<span class=\"s1\">Am I feeling fitter?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>My knee hasn\u2019t had the crazy swellings it had the other week, so I\u2019m hoping the muscles are building.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>My resting heart rate is coming right down and my fitbit readings are telling me I\u2019m in the very good to excellent bracket for my age group.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>My weight doesn\u2019t seem to be moving BUT I\u2019m not focused so much on this, more on the fitness and recovery from injury \u2013 if a few pounds disappear that\u2019s a bonus but if they don\u2019t, I\u2019m not too hung about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">S\u00e5 mitt r\u00e5d denna vecka: ta ansvar och det \u00e4r okej att sitta ner d\u00e5 och d\u00e5!<span class=\"s1\">So my advice this week:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>be accountable and it\u2019s ok to sit down from time to time!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e5 blogg 6: Vem hade trott att jag skulle komma s\u00e5 l\u00e5ngt \u2013 och upp till \u00f6ver 300 km p\u00e5 min cykel (jag m\u00e5ste erk\u00e4nna, det delas med min man!)?
