Tenho dois empregos (ambos a tempo parcial e adapto-me bem com os filhos). N\u00c3O fa\u00e7o exerc\u00edcio \u2013 gosto de pensar que uma sess\u00e3o de ioga de 20 minutos uma vez por m\u00eas deve ver-me bem e vai queimar as grandes quantidades de chocolate que como para me ajudar a passar cada dia \u2013 especialmente durante o confinamento! Tenho tido a mentalidade de \u2018ei, sobrevivemos mais um dia, vamos comer um chocolate para celebrar!\u2019.<span class=\"s1\">May I introduce myself \u2013 I\u2019m Sarah, a 40-year-old mum of two, a wife of one and I am your average run of the mill person. I have two jobs (both part time and fit in well around the children). I do NOT exercise \u2013 I like to think a 20 min yoga session once a month should see me right and will burn off the copious amounts of chocolate that I eat to help me get through each day \u2013 especially during lockdown! I\u2019ve been very much of the \u2018hey, we survived another day, lets have some chocolate to celebrate!\u2019 mentality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">E que surpresa\u2026 vai pesando uma pedra e n\u00e3o me estou a sentir bem! Urgh. Ser mais velho com um metabolismo mais lento n\u00e3o \u00e9 divertido.<span class=\"s1\">And what a surprise\u2026..on goes a stone in weight and I am not feeling good! Urgh. Being older with a slower metabolism is not fun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Estou obcecado pelo Instagram e, durante o bloqueio, vi tantas pessoas nesta plataforma de redes sociais a trabalhar em casa. Ent\u00e3o pensei \u2013 porque \u00e9 que n\u00e3o posso ser eu tamb\u00e9m? Certamente, se comprar a bicicleta, a vontade de fazer exerc\u00edcio vir\u00e1 com ela e cair\u00e1 imediatamente meia pedra?<span class=\"s1\">I am obsessed with Instagram, and over lockdown I have seen SO many people on this social media platform working out at home. Then I thought \u2013 why can\u2019t that be me too? Surely if I buy the bike, the will to exercise will come with it, and immediately half a stone will drop off?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sou influenciado com muita facilidade, j\u00e1 experimentei muitas dietas e planos de exerc\u00edcio diferentes, mas n\u00e3o sigo nenhum deles porque, bem, a vida simplesmente atrapalha. Nunca fui demasiado magro e nunca fui demasiado gordo. Mas o que sinto agora n\u00e3o \u00e9 saud\u00e1vel. \u00c9 tempo de fazer uma mudan\u00e7a consciente, dar um bom exemplo aos meus filhos e trabalhar para vestir as minhas roupas de ver\u00e3o quando chegarem os dias mais quentes.<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m influenced very easily, I have tried many different diets and exercise plans, none of which I stick to because, well, life just gets in the way. I\u2019ve never been really thin, and I\u2019ve never been really fat. But what I do feel now, is unhealthy. It\u2019s time to make a conscious change, set a good example to my children and work on getting into my summer clothes once the warmer days come.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ent\u00e3o a CicloZone aproximou-se de mim\u2026 e p\u00e1, ainda bem que o fizeram! Eu precisava de responsabilidade\u2026. Precisava de algu\u00e9m a quem reportar \u2013 porque n\u00e3o sou bom a reportar para mim pr\u00f3prio!<span class=\"s1\">So CicloZone approached me\u2026.. and boy am I glad they did! I needed accountability\u2026. I needed someone to report back to \u2013 because I am not good at reporting back to myself!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Esta \u00e9 a oportunidade perfeita para resolver isso, ficar em forma, ficar mais saud\u00e1vel e sentir-me bem!<span class=\"s1\">This is the perfect opportunity for me to sort this out, get fitter, get healthier and feel good! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ent\u00e3o, como est\u00e1 a correr at\u00e9 agora? Ok, vou ser sincero. Eu disse que iria ter tr\u00eas aulas por semana em mar\u00e7o. Na primeira semana, arranjei algumas desculpas e consegui cerca de 20 minutos. Qu\u00e3o rid\u00edculo \u00e9 isto? Simplesmente n\u00e3o consegui entrar na \u2018Zona\u2019 (pun intended). Algu\u00e9m mais se sente assim? Simplesmente n\u00e3o consegue seguir em frente? \u00c9 de loucos, porque sabe que quando o fizer, vai sentir-se absolutamente incr\u00edvel! MAS \u00c9 O IN\u00cdCIO!<span class=\"s1\">So how is it going so far? Okay, I\u2019ll be honest. I said I would do three classes a week in March. The first week, I made some excuses and managed about 20 minutes. How ridiculous is that? I just couldn\u2019t get into the \u2018Zone\u2019 (pun intended). Anyone else feel like this? You just can\u2019t bring yourself to get going? It\u2019s crazy, because you know when you do, you will feel absolutely amazing! BUT IT\u2019S THE GETTING GOING!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Avan\u00e7ando para esta semana e estou apaixonada pelo CicloZone! Ultrapassei qualquer barreira invis\u00edvel que me estava a impedir (tamb\u00e9m o facto de o meu marido estar sempre a dizer: \u2018Se n\u00e3o subires para esta bicicleta, vamos vend\u00ea-la\u2019). Acho que estava preocupada por n\u00e3o conseguir fazer isso. Na minha cabe\u00e7a, acreditava que as aulas seriam demasiado \u2013 quer dizer, olhem para os treinadores \u2013 s\u00e3o todos t\u00e3o atl\u00e9ticos que n\u00e3o consigo acompanh\u00e1-los, de certeza?! Talvez estivesse um pouco assustado. (E pregui\u00e7oso, pensando bem.)<span class=\"s1\">Fast forward to this week and I am in LOVE with CicloZone! I got over whatever invisible barrier that was holding me back (also the fact that my husband kept saying \u2018If you don\u2019t get on that bike, we are selling it\u2019) I think I was worried I wouldn\u2019t be able to do it. In my head, I believed that the classes would be too much \u2013 I mean, look at the trainers \u2013 they are all so athletically fit, I can\u2019t keep up with them surely?! Maybe I was just a bit daunted. (And lazy, come to think of it.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Posso dizer desde j\u00e1 \u2013 a todos os principiantes \u2013 que n\u00e3o \u00e9 bem assim! Vai encontrar uma classe de COL% baixa para si (aulas baixas de 70% s\u00e3o boas) e segue o seu pr\u00f3prio ritmo. N\u00e3o \u00e9 uma competi\u00e7\u00e3o, ningu\u00e9m o est\u00e1 a julgar, n\u00e3o precisa de se assustar. Como diz Mel Thomas \u2013 acerte no ponto ideal e sentir\u00e1 que pode atingir o seu objetivo.<span class=\"s1\">Can I tell you now \u2013 to all the beginners \u2013 this is not the case! You go find a low COL% class for you (Low 70% ones are good) and go at your own pace. It\u2019s not a competition, no one is judging you, you don\u2019t need to be daunted. As Mel Thomas says \u2013 hit the sweet spot and you will feel like you can achieve your goal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">E fa\u00e7o-o agora! Sinto que com estas aulas e com o incentivo que os formadores d\u00e3o, posso sentir-me melhor, posso sentir-me mais saud\u00e1vel e posso sentir-me mais em forma.<span class=\"s1\">And I do now! I feel that that with these classes and the encouragement that the trainers give, I can feel better, and I can feel healthier, and I can feel fitter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ok \u2013 eu sei que s\u00f3 estou h\u00e1 duas semanas, mas ainda estou a flutuar na serotonina da aula de ontem! Quero fazer outra hoje mais logo ou, se n\u00e3o, amanh\u00e3, e esta, meus amigos, ser\u00e1 a minha terceira aula da semana. A meta a que me propus; tr\u00eas aulas por semana. Facilmente alcan\u00e7\u00e1vel para uma pessoa inadequada, de meia idade, cansada e muito ocupada. Quantas vezes j\u00e1 ouvimos \u2018Se eu consigo, tu consegues!\u2019 Parece muuuuito lamechas, mas \u00e9 verdade! Se inventar uma linha menos pirosa, aviso-vos!<span class=\"s1\">Okay \u2013 I know I\u2019m only two weeks in, but I\u2019m still floating on the serotonin of yesterday\u2019s class! I want to squeeze another one in later today or if not tomorrow, and that, my friends, will be my third class of the week. The goal I had set myself; three classes a week. Easily achievable for an unfit, middle aged, tired and very busy person. How many times have we heard \u2018If I can do it, you can!\u2019 Sounds soooooo corny but true!
