{"id":8392,"date":"2023-03-13T13:47:43","date_gmt":"2023-03-13T13:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ciclozone.com\/blog\/keto-deel-2-is-het-iets-voor-jou-darren-lee\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T23:04:22","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T22:04:22","slug":"keto-deel-2-is-het-iets-voor-jou-darren-lee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciclozone.com\/nl\/blog\/keto-deel-2-is-het-iets-voor-jou-darren-lee\/","title":{"rendered":"Keto deel 2- Is het iets voor jou? \u2013 Darren Lee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p2\">Keto-stijl voeding heeft, zoals besproken in mijn vorige blog, een aantal duidelijke voordelen voor fietsers en de manier waarop we onze energie willen besteden, maar er zijn ook enkele nadelen en die moeten we in overweging nemen voordat we besluiten dat dit iets voor jou is.<span class=\"s1\">K<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Laten we beginnen met het opsommen van de belangrijkste uitdagingen die Keto voor fietsers met zich meebrengt, die zullen bepalen hoe Keto effectief kan worden gebruikt in de wielersport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Onderzoek heeft aangetoond dat, hoewel je met Keto veel meer vet verbrandt, er meer zuurstof nodig is om al dat extra vet te verbranden en dat je trainingseffici\u00ebntie slechter wordt. Ook wordt uw vermogen om koolhydraten te gebruiken verminderd als gevolg van vetaanpassing. Het is een afweging: je wordt beter in het rennen op vet met een lage tot gemiddelde intensiteit, maar je verliest wat vermogen om met een zeer hoge intensiteit op suiker te rennen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">De meeste mensen die Keto gebruiken, blijven onder de 50 gram koolhydraten per dag, wat heel anders is dan de gebruikelijke 300-500 gram koolhydraten die typisch is voor een fietsliefhebber met een koolhydraatrijk dieet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Wanneer u beter wordt in het verbranden van vet, wordt het gemakkelijker om lange, stabiele ritten te maken. Maar de meeste goede trainingsplannen omvatten ook zaken als drempelintervallen en snelheidswerk. Dit soort trainingen zijn van hoge intensiteit en je vermogen om ze op Keto te doen is zeer beperkt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Op dezelfde manier kan Keto uw racevermogen be\u00efnvloeden. Het kan prima zijn als je op vlak terrein in het midden van het peloton rijdt, maar als het gaat om het veranderen van tempo, hard aanvallen tijdens een klim, reageren op een aanval of sprinten naar de finish, zul je gewoon niet dezelfde hoge intensiteit hebben als bij tanken op basis van koolhydraten. Ik vond een evenwicht in mijn dieet waardoor mijn lichaam nog steeds suikers en cafe\u00efne kon gebruiken voor korte energiestoten, maar ik moet toegeven dat dit evenwicht uiterst moeilijk te handhaven was en dat de hunkering naar suikers mij soms gek maakte!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Keto is een zeer restrictief dieet. Door koolhydraten te beperken tot minder dan 50 g per dag, kun je geen van je typische bijgerechten zoals rijst, pasta, brood of aardappelen eten. Je moet je ook onthouden van zoete lekkernijen zoals melkchocolade, koekjes, cakes, suikerhoudende dranken, enzovoort. Mijn evenwicht werd voornamelijk gevonden in de inname van een klein percentage zoete lekkernijen tijdens mijn trainingssessies, waardoor een niveau van suiker-\/glycogeencapaciteit behouden bleef dat gebruikt kon worden tijdens momenten van verhoogde krachtuitvoer&#8230; hoewel suikers buiten de fiets absoluut geen nee waren en ik vocht dagelijks tegen die demonen. Er zijn in de echte wereld zoveel verleidingen die veel koolhydraten bevatten, dat je echt toegewijd moet zijn aan Keto om op het pad te blijven. Helaas is dit moeilijk, vooral als het leven je in de weg staat en je je zorgen moet maken over andere dingen dan je dieet.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Dit zijn behoorlijk ernstige nadelen, maar wegen ze op tegen de voordelen die in mijn vorige blogpost zijn beschreven? Het hangt af van je doelen. Laten we proberen deze vraag te beantwoorden voor verschillende scenario\u2019s en typen fietsers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Het schrappen van koolhydraten en suiker maakt het gemakkelijker om de calorie-inname te verminderen en een calorietekort te bereiken, wat nodig is voor gewichtsverlies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Hier zijn verschillende scenario\u2019s waarin Keto een goed idee kan zijn:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><strong>Short-term Keto to lose weight during the off-season.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><strong>Focusing on ultra-endurance cycling events or sportive rides at weekends.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><strong>Cycling for fun and to stay in shape, mainly doing low to moderate efforts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\">Keto op korte termijn om af te vallen buiten het seizoen.<br \/>\nFocus op ultra-endurance wielerevenementen of sportieve ritten in het weekend.<br \/>\nFietsen voor de lol en om in vorm te blijven, waarbij je vooral weinig tot matige inspanningen doet.<br \/>\nHier zijn een paar scenario\u2019s waarin u Keto moet vermijden:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><strong>You want to train hard and maximise your power potential.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><strong>You don\u2019t do well with restrictive diets.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\">Je wilt hard trainen en je krachtpotentieel maximaliseren.<br \/>\nJe doet het niet goed met restrictieve di\u00ebten.<br \/>\nAls je in een van de scenario&#8217;s past waarin Keto zinvol is, kun je uitkijken naar mijn volgende blogpost, waar ik een voorbeeldmaaltijdplan zal bespreken om je op weg te helpen.<br \/>\nAls je in de andere scenario\u2019s past, is koolhydraatperiodisering waarschijnlijk een betere keuze voor jou.
