Dat is gek, want in mijn laatste blog was ik degene die er voortdurend op hamerde dat GET GOING het moeilijkste deel was! Vooral vorige week, toen elke dag voorbijging, bleef ik tegen mezelf zeggen: \u2018Het is ok\u00e9, ik heb nog drie dagen te gaan van deze week, dus ik kan nog steeds in drie ritten passen.\u2019<span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s been a busy couple of weeks for us; poorly children, Covid tests, filming (that\u2019s another story), school, work, home\u2026\u2026 it\u2019s been a battle to get in the saddle. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Which is crazy, because in my last blog, I was the one that harped on about GET GOING being the hardest part! Last week especially, as each day passed, I kept saying to myself \u2018It\u2019s okay, I still have three days left of this week, so I can still fit in three rides.\u2019 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Wie hield ik voor de gek?! Ik heb er een gedaan! Kerry had gelijk \u2013 zei ze in haar laatste CicloZone-blog \u2013 geef jezelf een schouderklopje omdat je die ene les hebt gedaan \u2013 het is beter dan helemaal geen les te doen! En dat is precies wat ik tegen iemand anders zou zeggen, maar het is moeilijk om tegen mezelf te zeggen: je eigen medicijn innemen is zoveel moeilijker! Maar het heeft mij geleerd realistischer te zijn en mezelf niet te veel in de maling te nemen. Dit was geen mislukking. Een onvoldoende zou helemaal geen lessen zijn geweest.<span class=\"s1\">Who was I kidding?! I did one! Kerry was right \u2013 she said in her last CicloZone blog \u2013 <a href=\"#\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">give yourself a pat on the back for doing that one class \u2013 it\u2019s better than not doing one at all! <\/a>And that is just what I would say to someone else, but it\u2019s hard to tell myself \u2013 taking your own medicine is so much harder! But it has taught me to be more realistic and not to beat myself up too much. This wasn\u2019t a fail. A fail would have been no classes at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Maar het gekke is: die ene les voelde geweldig! Ik zag een van de recente berichten van CicloZone op Instagram over het bereiken van de goede plek \u2013 en daar ben ik het volledig mee eens!<span class=\"s1\">But the crazy thing is, that one class &#8211; it felt great! I saw one of CicloZone\u2019s recent posts on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ciclozoneuk\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> about hitting the sweet spot \u2013 and I couldn\u2019t agree more! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik heb de neiging om de eerste helft van een rit te denken \u2018urgh, ik wil dit niet doen\u2019 (is het niet grappig hoe langzaam de tijd gaat als je iets doet wat je niet wilt doen en als je het naar je zin hebt, gaan 15\/20\/30 minuten in een flits voorbij?!) Daarna was ik de volgende helft van de les absoluut bruisend \u2013 ik ben erachter gekomen dat dit precies is waar de endorfine begint \u2013 tussen 15-18 minuten per cyclus. Ik bedoel, ik wou dat het eerder kon zijn, het geroezemoes is serieus aan de gang, ik ben als Beyonce in een zadel!<span class=\"s1\">I tend to spend the first half of a ride thinking \u2018urgh, I don\u2019t want to do this\u2019 (isn\u2019t it funny how slowly time goes when you\u2019re doing something you don\u2019t want to do and when you\u2019re having a great time, 15\/20\/30 minutes goes by in a flash?!) Then the next half of the class I was absolutely buzzing \u2013 I\u2019ve figured out that is exactly where the endorphins kick in \u2013 between 15-18 minutes through a cycle. I mean, I wish it could be sooner, the buzz seriously spurs be on, I\u2019m like Beyonce in a saddle!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik zou graag willen weten hoe ik die buzz eerder in de les kan krijgen, of moet ik gewoon geduld hebben? (niet geweldig voor een Tweeling)<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019d love to know how I can get that buzz sooner into a class, or do I just have to be patient? (not great for a Gemini)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik heb ook mijn favoriete klasse gevonden: de Quick Calorie Burner. Ik zit in deze bende voor het gewichtsverlies. De lockdown is niet aardig geweest! Een klas met die naam riep mij op en het stelt niet teleur! Ik hou van de aanmoediging en passie van Mel Thomas, hij past helemaal in mijn straatje. Het verbaast me hoe deze instructeurs tijdens de les kunnen blijven praten alsof ze een informeel praatje houden!<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019ve also found my favourite class \u2013 the Quick Calorie Burner. I\u2019m in this gang for the weight loss. Lockdown hasn\u2019t been kind! A class with that name called to me and it does not disappoint! I love the encouragement and passion of <a href=\"#\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mel Thomas<\/a>, he\u2019s right up my street. It amazes me how these instructors can keep talking through a class like they\u2019re having a casual chit chat!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik trok gisteren mijn rug op (ik tilde een driejarige op die weigerde van de vloer te komen en het huis te verlaten om naar de kleuterschool te gaan, zou je dat geloven?). Ik wacht tot de pijn afneemt en dan ga ik deze week nog een les van Mel proberen, misschien zelfs een les van 45 minuten als ik kan. Ik weet zeker dat hij mij op de been zal houden!<span class=\"s1\">I pulled my back yesterday (lifting up a three year old who refused to get up off the floor and leave the house for pre-school would you believe?) I\u2019m waiting for the pain to ease off and then I\u2019m going to try another one of Mel\u2019s classes this week, maybe even a 45-minute class if I can. I am sure he will keep me going! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik vraag me af of ik hem persoonlijke motiverende zinnen kan laten opnemen waar ik elke ochtend naar kan luisteren?! Mel \u2013 wat zeg je ervan?!!<span class=\"s1\">I wonder if I can get him to record personal motivational phrases for me to listen to each morning?!
