Ik wilde het naar een hoger niveau tillen&#8230; dus ging ik terug om te kijken waar CicloZone over gaat.<span class=\"s1\">By January, I was really feeling the effects of not exercising properly for four months (other than walking &#8211; walking I could do for miles and miles \u2013 good job, given the crazy spaniel!), the effects of Christmas pigging out, the effects of living a sedentary lifestyle \u2013 and just generally wanting to improve my fitness again. Wanting to take it up a level&#8230; s<\/span><span class=\"s1\">o, back I went to have a look what CicloZone is all about. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Het leek eenvoudig genoeg, dus na een snelle DM aan Darren om hem onze fietskeuze te laten zien en te vragen of deze geschikt zou zijn (wat hij bevestigde), waren we onderweg.<span class=\"s1\">It seemed simple enough so, after a quick DM to Darren to show him our choice of bike and ask if it would be suitable (which he confirmed it was), we were on our way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik heb de app gedownload, me aangemeld (in de naam van mijn man \u2013 ik weet niet echt waarom, misschien om hem aan te moedigen ook zijn uiterste best te doen!) en we voltooiden onze eerste lessen.<span class=\"s1\">I downloaded the app, signed up (in my husband\u2019s name \u2013 don\u2019t really know why, maybe to encourage him to get his butt into gear too!) and we completed our first classes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Dus mijn gedachten na mijn eerste drie sessies:<span class=\"s1\">So, my thoughts after my initial three sessions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Our bike isn\u2019t gym quality \u2013 but for now it\u2019s actually OK!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You don\u2019t need to spend thousands of \u00a3\u2019s on a top-of-the-range, fully \u2018bluetoothed\u2019 bike in order to take part.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We both wear<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Fitbits so I\u2019m happy to have the readings from there for now to see how we\u2019re improving over time.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Don\u2019t let your husband go through the classes and kindly \u2018choose\u2019 one for you!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>(He managed to do a 30-minute class for his first one back \u2013 picking me a killer of a 45-minute session).<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In usual Darren style, the classes are SO easy to follow, just keep to the beat (he says, easier said than done with a manky knee!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Invest in some Bluetooth headphones because sweat will drip into your eyes and you won\u2019t be able to see your screen!<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m starting with a couple of sessions a week, using the on demand service (mainly so I can pick what I want to do) and, at the moment, I\u2019m staying safe with the instructor I know.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Onze fiets is niet van sportschoolkwaliteit, maar voor nu is hij eigenlijk prima!  Je hoeft geen duizenden euro\u2019s uit te geven aan een eersteklas, volledig \u2018bluetooth\u2019-fiets om deel te nemen.  We dragen allebei Fitbits, dus ik ben blij dat ik voorlopig de metingen van daar heb om te zien hoe we in de loop van de tijd verbeteren.<br \/>\nLaat uw man de lessen niet doorlopen en \u2018kies\u2019 er vriendelijk \u00e9\u00e9n voor u uit!  (Hij slaagde erin een les van 30 minuten te doen voor zijn eerste les \u2013 wat mij een moordenaar van een sessie van 45 minuten opleverde).<br \/>\nIn de gebruikelijke Darren-stijl zijn de lessen ZO gemakkelijk te volgen, blijf gewoon op het ritme (zegt hij, makkelijker gezegd dan gedaan met een smoezelige knie!)<br \/>\nInvesteer in een Bluetooth-hoofdtelefoon, want het zweet druppelt in je ogen en je kunt je scherm niet zien!<br \/>\nIk begin met een paar sessies per week, waarbij ik gebruik maak van de on-demand-service (voornamelijk zodat ik kan kiezen wat ik wil doen) en op dit moment blijf ik veilig bij de instructeur die ik ken.<br \/>\nIk weet niet of ik een beetje voorbarig ben om slechts zes maanden na de operatie meteen weer op dit niveau te gaan sporten, maar ik houd je op de hoogte.  Ik heb het fitnessvoordeel zeker gevoeld na slechts drie sessies, maar mijn been, waar het metalen werk bovenaan mijn scheenbeen zit, is niet zo dol op de 85-90 RPM staand en ik krijg daarna wat lichte zwelling. Het is bijna alsof de pees langs mijn scheenbeen niet blij is dat er na al die maanden rust gevraagd wordt om wat goed werk te doen&#8230;!<span class=\"s1\">I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m a bit premature going straight back into this level of exercise only six months post op but I\u2019ll keep you posted.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve certainly felt the benefit fitness wise after only three sessions but my leg, where the metal work sits at the top of my shin, isn\u2019t too fond of the 85-90RPMs standing and I am getting some slight swelling afterwards. It\u2019s almost like the tendon down my shin isn\u2019t happy being asked to put in some proper work after all these months of rest\u2026!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ik heb mijn eerste drie metingen van mijn Fitbit op de blogfoto geplaatst, dus neem gerust een kijkje.
