I miei amici mi chiamano semplicemente Tony. Sono un decoratore autonomo di oltre trent&#8217;anni e alto 5 piedi e 4 pollici, come mio padre. Ci\u00f2 non mi impedisce di fare nulla, a parte essere un poliziotto, suppongo\u2026!<span class=\"s1\">Hi there, m<\/span><span class=\"s1\">y name is Anthony Robinson. My friends just call me Tony. I am a self employed decorator of thirty plus years and 5 feet 4 inches tall, same as my dad. It doesn\u2019t stop me from doing anything, apart from being a policeman, I suppose\u2026!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ho iniziato ad allenarmi intorno all&#8217;et\u00e0 di 18 anni dopo un commento disinvolto sul mio peso da parte di un amico. Ha funzionato e ho iniziato a mangiare e ad allenarmi per sentirmi pi\u00f9 in forma. Ho perso un po\u2019 di peso e ho pensato \u201cbeh, non sono in forma\u201d?!<span class=\"s1\">I started fitness training around the age of 18 after a glib comment about my weight from a friend. It worked and I began eating and training to get fitter. I lost a chunk of weight and thought \u2018well aren\u2019t I fit\u2019?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Intorno ai 23 anni, ho iniziato a praticare Karate \u2013 ora che sono in forma \u2013 e mi \u00e8 piaciuto molto, non ho smesso finch\u00e9 non sono andato a vivere in Canada per un anno e poi, tornato a casa un anno dopo, stavo ancora correndo un po\u2019 ma ho iniziato anche a camminare \u2013 un\u2019altra delle mie attivit\u00e0 preferite, come vedrai dalla foto. Finora ho completato 149 Wainwright.<span class=\"s1\">At around 23, I took up Karate &#8211; now that IS fit &#8211; and I loved it, didn\u2019t stop until I went to live in Canada for a year and then, back home a year later,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I was still running a bit but also fell walking &#8211; another of my favourite activities, as you\u2019ll see from the photo. I\u2019ve completed 149 Wainwrights so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Oltre alla camminata in caduta, ho iniziato ad allenarmi in circuito con un gruppo di ragazzi di Judo che ho incontrato \u2013 non il mio sport, il Judo \u2013 uno sport davvero duro ma non per me. Ma amavo i circuiti e ho smesso solo a causa del COVID-19.<span class=\"s1\">Alongside the fell walking, I started circuit training with a bunch of Judo guys I met &#8211; not my sport, Judo &#8211; a real tough one but not for me. But I loved circuits and only stopped because of COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the saddle<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">In sella<br \/>\nComunque, circa 4 anni fa ho iniziato a pedalare.  Avevo bisogno di qualcosa a basso impatto perch\u00e9 il tempo non \u00e8 clemente e, da quando ho 40 anni, il peso \u00e8 pi\u00f9 difficile da spostare. Mi \u00e8 davvero piaciuto. Infatti, oltre a essere in discesa, non c&#8217;\u00e8 sensazione migliore che stare in sella alla bici e sfidare te stesso.<span class=\"s1\">Anyway, about 4 years ago I started cycling.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I needed something low impact because time isn\u2019t kind and, since my 40s, weight is harder to shift. I really liked it. In fact, next to being on the fells there is no better feeling than being on your bike challenging yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ho affrontato varie sfide da 100 miglia: Coast to Coast in un giorno e Le Jog (926 miglia in 12 giorni). Ad ogni modo, essendo asmatico a volte ho difficolt\u00e0 se non riesco a trovare il giusto equilibrio.<span class=\"s1\">I have done various 100 mile challenges &#8211; the Coast to Coast in a day and Le Jog (926 miles in 12 days). Anyway, with being asthmatic I do sometimes struggle if I don\u2019t get the balance correct.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Quando \u00e8 stato annunciato l\u2019ultimo lockdown, ho deciso di provare a tenermi occupato e, poich\u00e9 per la prima volta il lavoro si era esaurito, ho deciso di mantenermi in forma.<span class=\"s1\">When the most recent lockdown was announced, I decided to try and stay busy and, because work had dried up for the first time ever, I decided to keep fit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Stavo cercando una nuova spin bike in questo periodo e ho ristretto il campo a tre bici, scegliendo alla fine la Keiser M3i. Il mio primo giro mi ha fatto riflettere su cosa avessi fatto, ma ho scaricato l&#8217;app Keizer e, insieme ai DVD di Spinnervals, stavo andando bene, anzi ho persino iniziato a divertirmi con l&#8217;M3i.<span class=\"s1\">I was looking for a new spin bike around this time and narrowed it down to three bikes, ultimately choosing the Keiser M3i. My first ride on it left me wondering what I\u2019d done but I downloaded the Keiser app and, along with the Spinnervals DVDs,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I was doing ok &#8211; in fact I even started enjoying the M3i. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Pi\u00f9 o meno in questo periodo su Facebook mi sono iscritto al gruppo di utenti M3 i e ho raccolto molti ottimi consigli. \u00c8 qui che ho incontrato Darren Lee. Mi aveva inviato una richiesta di amicizia e abbiamo scambiato qualche parola. Poco dopo ha detto che stava lavorando a questa nuova app, CicloZone.<span class=\"s1\">At about this time on Facebook, I joined the M3 i users group and picked up lots of great tips. This is where I came across Darren Lee. He\u2019d sent me a friend request and we exchanged a few words. Shortly after, he mentioned he was working on this new app, CicloZone.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Da l\u00ec ho iniziato a utilizzare l&#8217;app e ho pensato che fosse buona: mi \u00e8 piaciuta! C\u2019\u00e8 l\u2019imbarazzo della scelta per un allenamento strutturato, che aiuta davvero anche con il ciclismo all\u2019aperto. Poi \u00e8 arrivata la svolta: ha introdotto FTP sulla piattaforma!<span class=\"s1\">From there I started using the app and thought it was good &#8211; I enjoyed it! There\u2019s plenty of choice for a structured workout, which really helps with outdoor cycling too. Then came the game changer\u2026 he introduced FTP to the platform!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">37 rides in 37 days<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">37 corse in 37 giorni<br \/>\nA questo punto stavo facendo parecchi allenamenti CicloZone, a volte due o pi\u00f9 alla volta ma, dopo l&#8217;FTP, le cose stavano per cambiare.<span class=\"s1\">I was doing quite a lot of CicloZone workouts by this time, sometimes two or more at a time but, post FTP, that was about to change. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Il 30 dicembre ho aumentato il mio FTP a 140 e dopo quattro o cinque corse nel nuovo anno ho deciso di sfidare me stesso facendo un giro in CicloZone ogni giorno.  Cos\u00ec ho fatto: dagli ultimi due giorni di dicembre fino al 4 febbraio ho pedalato con CicloZone tutti i giorni, finch\u00e9 non mi sono accorto che stavo cominciando a tornare indietro perch\u00e9 non prendevo abbastanza giorni di riposo.<span class=\"s1\">On 30 December, I increased my FTP to 140 and four or five rides into the New Year, I decided I\u2019d challenge myself by taking a CicloZone ride every day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So I did &#8211; from the last two days in December until 4 February, I rode with CicloZone every day, until I realised I was beginning to go backwards because I wasn\u2019t taking enough rest days. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Nonostante ci\u00f2, il mio FTP \u00e8 aumentato a 182, il che \u00e8 sorprendente!<span class=\"s1\">Despite this, my FTP increased to 182, which is amazing!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In seguito ho faticato per un po&#8217;, perch\u00e9 non riposavo abbastanza, come avevo realizzato, ma dopo aver parlato con Darren, ho abbassato il mio FTP a 174 e recentemente, nel giorno del mio 60esimo compleanno, ho seguito tre lezioni di CicloZone una dopo l&#8217;altra!<span class=\"s1\">I did struggle for a while afterwards, due to not resting enough as I\u2019d realised, but after talking to Darren, I dropped my FTP to 174 and recently, on my 60th birthday, I actually took three CicloZone classes one after the other! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">L&#8217;app \u00e8 strutturata in modo molto intelligente, non solo per i grandi ciclisti ma per il ragazzo medio della strada, come me.<span class=\"s1\">The app is very cleverly structured, not just for great cyclists but for the average guy in the street, like me. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Non importa il tuo livello di forma fisica all&#8217;inizio, migliorer\u00e0 la tua resistenza e la tua forza, cos\u00ec come la tua mente!<span class=\"s1\">No matter your level of fitness at the start, it will improve your stamina and your strength, as well as your mind! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">La cosa migliore \u00e8 che, nonostante Darren sia un uomo impegnato, \u00e8 sempre disponibile a darti consigli.
