Je veux dire, ce n\u2019\u00e9tait tout simplement pas quelque chose auquel j\u2019\u00e9tais soumis et ce n\u2019\u00e9tait certainement pas quelque chose qui me pr\u00e9occupait beaucoup\u2026 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 r\u00e9cemment.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u00c9videmment, pendant la pand\u00e9mie, la sant\u00e9 mentale des gens a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise \u00e0 rude \u00e9preuve et je dois \u00eatre honn\u00eate, pour la premi\u00e8re fois de ma vie, j\u2019en ai moi-m\u00eame fait l\u2019exp\u00e9rience. Des sentiments d&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, de frustration et une inqui\u00e9tude \u00e9crasante m&#8217;emp\u00eachaient de dormir et affectaient ma concentration et mon attitude envers m\u00eame les t\u00e2ches quotidiennes les plus simples. M\u00eame le magasinage hebdomadaire me posait des probl\u00e8mes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">En tant qu&rsquo;\u00e9ternel comp\u00e9titeur, j&rsquo;ai toujours vu un probl\u00e8me, trouv\u00e9 la cause et form\u00e9 pour trouver une solution. C&rsquo;est exactement ce que j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 faire, pour d\u00e9couvrir pourquoi je souffrais de cette nouvelle sensation maintenant \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 50 ans\u2026 Je veux dire, j&rsquo;avais v\u00e9cu une vie qui impliquait de poss\u00e9der ma propre entreprise, d&rsquo;\u00e9lever deux enfants, de me marier et de divorcer et m\u00eame si ces choses \u00e9taient stressantes, je n&rsquo;ai jamais senti qu&rsquo;elles affectaient mon \u00e9tat mental ou ma capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler ou \u00e0 g\u00e9rer les situations. Ainsi, lorsque j\u2019ai ressenti ces moments d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 provoqu\u00e9s par le confinement, ma r\u00e9action a \u00e9t\u00e9, comme toujours, de monter sur mon v\u00e9lo dans ma grotte de douleur et de rouler.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agisse de la lib\u00e9ration d&rsquo;endorphines ou du simple confort de faire du v\u00e9lo, j&rsquo;ai trouv\u00e9 cela att\u00e9nu\u00e9 et j&rsquo;ai lev\u00e9 le nuage qui s&rsquo;abattait sur mon monde ferm\u00e9 et m&rsquo;a au moins permis de me concentrer sur la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 venir.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">J&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00eater plus attention \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on dont mon esprit agissait lorsque j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 faire du v\u00e9lo. \u00c9tait-ce la musique que j\u2019\u00e9coutais pendant que je roulais, ou l\u2019augmentation du rythme cardiaque qui permet au sang de circuler plus facilement vers mon cerveau, ou peut-\u00eatre le simple fait que je devais \u00eatre tellement concentr\u00e9 sur le travail physique que je faisais, ce qui ne permettait pas \u00e0 mon cerveau de s\u2019engager dans l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 ou les inqui\u00e9tudes. J&rsquo;ai d\u00e9couvert que m\u00eame en pr\u00e9parant ma sortie \u00e0 v\u00e9lo en enfilant mon cuissard ou en resserrant mes crampons de v\u00e9lo, l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 commen\u00e7ait imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 se lib\u00e9rer. En faisant du v\u00e9lo, il \u00e9tait \u00e9vident que tr\u00e8s rapidement, \u00e0 mesure que le stress physique augmentait, le stress mental commen\u00e7ait \u00e0 diminuer. J&rsquo;ai trouv\u00e9 que plus le trajet \u00e9tait technique et plus je me concentrais sur les informations sur les donn\u00e9es de trajet devant moi sur l&rsquo;\u00e9cran de ma tablette, plus j&rsquo;\u00e9tais absorb\u00e9 par le trajet et plus j&rsquo;\u00e9tais \u00e9loign\u00e9 de mes angoisses. Essayer de rester sur la bonne cadence et la bonne intensit\u00e9 et m&rsquo;assurer de me concentrer sur mes p\u00e9riodes de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration ont tous contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 vider ma n\u00e9gativit\u00e9 et \u00e0 renforcer les pens\u00e9es positives dans mon esprit. C&rsquo;est la compr\u00e9hension de la science derri\u00e8re mon cyclisme qui a concentr\u00e9 mon esprit davantage sur l&rsquo;activit\u00e9, ce qui m&rsquo;a donn\u00e9 une lib\u00e9ration mentale.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Ma connaissance du recrutement musculaire et du d\u00e9veloppement du syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique est pour moi une seconde nature lorsque je fais du v\u00e9lo, et le simple fait qu&rsquo;on m&rsquo;a toujours appris que la meilleure fa\u00e7on de faire du v\u00e9lo est dans un espace mental calme et d\u00e9tendu, m\u00eame dans les moments de stress physique extr\u00eame, s&rsquo;est av\u00e9r\u00e9 maintenant \u00eatre l&rsquo;un des plus grands avantages de mon cyclisme.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Oui, je faisais un excellent entra\u00eenement physique, mais cela m&rsquo;aidait vraiment beaucoup plus. C\u2019est alors que j\u2019ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que la raison pour laquelle je n\u2019avais jamais vraiment souffert de l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et des soucis de la vie pendant des ann\u00e9es \u00e9tait que j\u2019avais toujours fait du v\u00e9lo, qui, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, agissait sans le savoir comme un \u00e9norme bouton de r\u00e9initialisation au quotidien.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Maintenant, je ne fais pas seulement du v\u00e9lo pour ma forme physique et je ne fais pas seulement du v\u00e9lo pour essayer d&#8217;emp\u00eacher mon corps de ressembler \u00e0 un corps de 50 ans, je fais aussi du v\u00e9lo parce que je sais cat\u00e9goriquement que cela am\u00e9liore mon \u00e9tat mental et me place certainement dans une position bien meilleure et plus concentr\u00e9e pour me concentrer sur les choses tr\u00e8s importantes qui se passent dans ma vie en ce moment tout en construisant ma nouvelle entreprise.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Lorsque j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9marr\u00e9 ma nouvelle entreprise, je me suis lanc\u00e9 \u00e0 100\u00a0% dans le processus, 10 heures par jour, 7 jours par semaine, et je n&rsquo;ai pas roul\u00e9 autant que je le voulais pendant la majeure partie de ma vie. Je r\u00e9alise maintenant que c\u2019\u00e9tait une erreur et je r\u00e9serve d\u00e9sormais du temps pour mon v\u00e9lo, chaque jour.
