Pour nous, cyclistes sur route, c\u2019est de \u00e7a qu\u2019il s\u2019agit, n\u2019est-ce pas ? Entra\u00eenez-vous dur \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur et vous serez plus rapide sur la route.<span class=\"s1\">Now that Spring is in full bloom (here in the UK), I have been enjoying my newfound indoor training power on the road. For us road cyclists, that&rsquo;s what it&rsquo;s about,\u00a0 isn&rsquo;t it? Train hard indoors and you&rsquo;ll be faster on the road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ces derniers mois, j&rsquo;ai pass\u00e9 plus de temps \u00e0 m&rsquo;entra\u00eener \u00e0 VO2 max (Zone 5), et cela a pay\u00e9. It makes all of those tough, sweaty indoor sessions worthwhile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00ab\u00a0Parfois, c&rsquo;est toi le marteau. Parfois, tu es le clou. However, I still think it&rsquo;s crucial to train indoors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;ai un capteur de puissance sur mon v\u00e9lo de route et je porte un moniteur de fr\u00e9quence cardiaque, ce qui me donne des tonnes de donn\u00e9es et d&rsquo;informations \u00e0 analyser. Depuis que j&rsquo;ai pris la route et que je me suis laiss\u00e9 emporter par la libert\u00e9 et l&rsquo;aventure, je perds ma forme physique\/le d\u00e9sentra\u00eenement.<span class=\"s1\">I have a power meter on my road bike and wear a heart rate monitor, which gives me tons of data and insight to analyse. Since hitting the road and getting carried away with freedom and adventure, I am losing fitness\/de-training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Pourquoi donc?<span class=\"s1\">Why is that? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Parce que ma formation n\u2019est pas structur\u00e9e et que m\u2019emballer peut conduire au surentra\u00eenement. Je m\u2019assure d\u00e9sormais de faire deux s\u00e9ances en salle de haute intensit\u00e9 par semaine pour continuer \u00e0 m\u2019am\u00e9liorer, afin de rester en pleine forme pour ces longues sorties du week-end avec mes amis.<span class=\"s1\">Because my training isn&rsquo;t structured and getting carried away can lead to <\/span><span class=\"s1\">overtraining. I&rsquo;m now ensuring I do two high-intensity indoor sessions a week to keep improving, so I stay in top form for those long weekend rides with my friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Renouer avec mes compagnons de route a \u00e9t\u00e9 super positif pour mon bien-\u00eatre, tout comme le sentiment de progression procur\u00e9 par l&rsquo;entra\u00eenement en salle. Je me rends compte que j\u2019ai besoin des deux dans ma vie pour donner le meilleur de moi-m\u00eame, ce \u00e0 quoi j\u2019aspire toujours.<span class=\"s1\">Reconnecting with my road companions has been super positive for my wellbeing, as is the feeling of progression gained from indoor training. I realise that I need both in my life to be my best, which I always aspire to be.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">La vie est une question d&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre et d&rsquo;avancer.
