Apr\u00e8s avoir pass\u00e9 une semaine sans faire de v\u00e9lo en salle \u00e0 P\u00e2ques et avoir mang\u00e9 du chocolat comme seul exercice, je m&rsquo;y suis remis aujourd&rsquo;hui avec \u00ab The Slow Burner \u00bb avec Mel !  Cela pourrait \u00eatre rebaptis\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Br\u00fbleur lent \u2013 \u200b\u200bmais tout aussi difficile\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0!  Un rythme l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus lent pour ceux qui, comme moi, ont du mal \u00e0 rester \u00e0 un r\u00e9gime plus rapide, mais cela ne rend pas vraiment les choses plus faciles !  Dur, dur et de plus en plus dur \u00e0 mesure que le cours avance !<span class=\"s1\">Back in the saddle!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After taking a week out of indoor cycling over Easter and having eating chocolate as my only exercise, I brought myself back into it today with \u2018The Slow Burner\u2019 with Mel!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This could be retitled \u2018Slow &#8211; but equally as difficult &#8211; Burner\u2019!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Slightly slower beat for those who, like me, struggle to stand at the faster rpm but that doesn\u2019t really make it ANY easier!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Tough tough and tougher as the class goes on!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J\u2019ai encore l\u2019impression que mon genou peut parfois fl\u00e9chir \u2013 en particulier lorsque mes muscles se fatiguent \u2013 \u200b\u200balors je fais attention. Je sais que je ne pousse pas non plus ma jambe gauche aussi fort que ma droite, mais j\u2019essaie vraiment de le faire\u00a0!<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m still feeling like my knee may buckle on occasions \u2013 particularly when my muscles fatigue \u2013 so I&rsquo;m being careful. I know I don\u2019t push my left leg as hard as my right either, but I\u2019m really trying to!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;arrive \u00e0 faire monter les RPM et les sprints, en position assise, avec une r\u00e9sistance assez correcte. Le simple fait de prendre mon poids \u00e0 un rythme soutenu s&rsquo;av\u00e8re encore un d\u00e9fi pour moi en ce moment : une partie de cela est une question d&rsquo;esprit plut\u00f4t que de mati\u00e8re, mais des ann\u00e9es et des ann\u00e9es de r\u00e9sistance excessive \u00e0 une pression excessive sur cette jambe doivent \u00eatre dans ma m\u00e9moire musculaire !<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m managing to get the RPMs up and the sprints, when seated, with fairly decent resistance on. Just taking my body weight at any great pace is still proving a challenge for me at the moment: Some of it is mind over matter, but years and years of resisting pressure too much on that leg must be in my muscle memory!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Le v\u00e9lo que j&rsquo;utilise pourrait n\u00e9cessiter quelques r\u00e9glages suppl\u00e9mentaires pour le modifier afin de mieux l&rsquo;adapter \u00e0 ma taille (je ne mesure que 1,70 m) \u2013 c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire que le guidon semble un peu trop \u00e9loign\u00e9 \u2013 mais \u00e7a me va bien pour l&rsquo;instant.<span class=\"s1\">The bike I\u2019m using could do with a few more settings to alter it to fit my size better (I\u2019m only 5ft 4\u201d) \u2013 ie the handle bars seem a little too far away \u2013 but it\u2019s doing ok for me for now.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;aime la facilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre \u00e0 la maison et de sauter pendant 45 minutes au milieu de la journ\u00e9e, de me connecter \u00e0 CicloZone et de choisir mon trajet.  La commodit\u00e9 de cela me stimule certainement lorsque je suis d\u2019humeur un peu \u00ab\u00a0meh\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0!<span class=\"s1\">I like the ease of it being at home and jumping on for 45 minutes in the middle of the day, logging into CicloZone and picking my ride.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The convenience of it most definitely spurs me on when I\u2019m in a bit of a \u2018meh\u2019 mood!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Avec la r\u00e9ouverture des gymnases, cela pourrait \u00eatre un tout nouveau jeu de balle si je pouvais prendre la peine de r\u00e9server une s\u00e9ance et de monter sur l&rsquo;un des v\u00e9los Bluetooth l\u00e0-bas. Je pourrais me connecter et faire mon propre test FTP\u00a0!  Cependant, je ne suis pas s\u00fbr d\u2019\u00eatre si s\u00e9rieux \u00e0 ce sujet.  Pour moi, il s\u2019agit de ma r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration et de ma forme physique ; continuer, m&rsquo;en tenir \u00e0 ma routine, r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer lentement et prudemment et voir ces minuscules gains sur mon fitbit me suffira pour le moment.<span class=\"s1\">With the gyms now reopening it might be a whole new ball game if I can be bothered to book a session and get onto one of the Bluetooth bikes down there. I could hook up and take my own FTP test!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>I\u2019m not sure I\u2019m THAT serious about it though.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For me, it\u2019s about my recovery and my fitness; keeping at it, sticking with my routine, recovering slowly and carefully and seeing those tiny gains on my fitbit will do me for now.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De retour en selle !
