{"id":8903,"date":"2023-03-13T11:50:48","date_gmt":"2023-03-13T11:50:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ciclozone.com\/blog\/motivation-du-lundi-kerry-orton-continuez\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T23:04:56","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T22:04:56","slug":"motivation-du-lundi-kerry-orton-continuez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciclozone.com\/fr\/blog\/motivation-du-lundi-kerry-orton-continuez\/","title":{"rendered":"Motivation du lundi : Kerry Orton \u2013 Continuez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Eh bien, je suis toujours l\u00e0 \u2013 toujours en mouvement, toujours en train de me battre pour me r\u00e9tablir\u2026<span class=\"s1\">Well, I\u2019m still here \u2013 still going, still battling through recovery&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;ai eu quelques revers, car j&rsquo;ai eu un gonflement \u00e9trange et des bosses sont apparues autour de mon site d&rsquo;op\u00e9ration, c&rsquo;est donc quelque chose \u00e0 discuter avec le chirurgien lorsque je pourrai le voir ensuite.  Cependant, je suis raisonnable et je ne deviens pas fou et je ne supporte pas la douleur : je suis d\u00e9termin\u00e9 \u00e0 continuer comme \u00e7a, je ne veux pas revenir \u00e0 la case d\u00e9part, donc pour l&rsquo;instant je suis \u00e0 un rythme plus lent que je le voudrais, mais j&rsquo;y vais toujours.<span class=\"s1\">Had a few set backs in that I\u2019ve had some weird swelling and lumps appear around my operation site so that\u2019s something up for discussion with the surgeon when I get to see him next.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m being sensible though and not going crazy and pushing through any pain: I&rsquo;m determined to keep this up, I don\u2019t want to be back to square one, so for now I\u2019m at a slower pace than I\u2019d LIKE to be but I\u2019m still going.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;ai enfin d\u00e9couvert le filtre sur l&rsquo;application, j&rsquo;ai pu choisir des parcours plus rythm\u00e9s, ce que je pensais \u00eatre meilleur\/plus facile. Euh, ce n&rsquo;est certainement pas le cas !  Un rythme un peu plus lent \u2013 \u200b\u200bparfois \u2013 mais n\u00e9anmoins tout aussi dur ! Mais c\u2019est le probl\u00e8me avec le cyclisme en salle : vous y allez aussi fort que vous le souhaitez.<span class=\"s1\">I&rsquo;ve finally discovered the filter on the app, I&rsquo;ve been able to choose more tempo rides, which I thought might be better\/easier. Erm, definitely not the case!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Slightly slower pace \u2013 sometimes \u2013 but nonetheless, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">just as hard! That&rsquo;s the thing with indoor cycling though, you go as hard as you want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Cette semaine, j&rsquo;ai \u00e9galement d\u00e9couvert que je peux \u00e9galement obtenir de la ciclozone via mon ordinateur portable \u2013 qui \u00e0 son tour est connect\u00e9 \u00e0 un grand \u00e9cran via HDMI \u2013 alors voil\u00e0 : Darren, en plein \u00e9cran, regarde avec son \u0153il per\u00e7ant !  Regarder, comme dans la vraie vie, vous donner juste assez d&rsquo;encouragement pour ne pas vous laisser tomber, vous permettre de vous d\u00e9passer \u2013 et ensuite d&rsquo;aller un peu plus loin !<span class=\"s1\">This week I\u2019ve also discovered I can also get ciclozone through my laptop \u2013 which in turn is connected to a big screen via HDMI \u2013 so there I have it: Darren, full screen, watching with is beady eye!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Watching, just like in real life, giving you just enough encouragement not to let yourself down, allowing you to push yourself to your max \u2013 and then go a tiny bit more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Je prends deux cours par semaine, en essayant de m&rsquo;assurer de faire des s\u00e9ances de 45 minutes \u00e0 chaque fois.  Pour moi, je veux me fixer un objectif r\u00e9alisable \u2013 et je veux me sentir bien si j\u2019int\u00e8gre un autre cours de 30 minutes \u2013 mais pour moi, deux cours signifient que je peux tout donner \u00e0 tous les deux.  J&rsquo;ai suffisamment de temps entre les deux pour bien r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer, je fais aussi d&rsquo;autres exercices (cours de kettlebell, yoga et cours de cardio-ton) en dehors du v\u00e9lo en salle, que je trouve important et qui m&rsquo;aide \u00e0 garder un bon \u00e9quilibre.<span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m taking two classes a week, trying to make sure I do 45-minute sessions each time.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For me I want to set an achieveable goal \u2013 and I want to feel amazing if I fit another 30 minute class in &#8211; but for me,\u00a0 two classes means I can give them both my all.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m having enough time in between to recover properly, I\u2019m keeping up with other exercise too (kettlebell class, yoga and a cardio tone class) aside from indoor cycling, which I think is important and helps me keep a good balance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Est-ce que je me sens plus en forme ?  Oui, je pense en fait que je le suis.<span class=\"s1\">Am I feeling fitter?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, I actually think I am.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ai-je des donn\u00e9es qui me disent que je suis en meilleure forme\u00a0? Eh bien, mon Fitbit m&rsquo;a fait passer dans la zone de fitness cardio tr\u00e8s bon \u00e0 excellent (37-41 pour ma tranche d&rsquo;\u00e2ge) et j&rsquo;y suis en fait rest\u00e9 ces deux derni\u00e8res semaines \u2013 donc je pense que je m&rsquo;am\u00e9liore.<span class=\"s1\">Do I have data that tells me I\u2019m fitter? Well my fitbit has moved me into the very good to excellent cardio fitness zone (37-41 for my age group) and I\u2019ve actually stayed there for the last two weeks \u2013 so I think I\u2019m improving.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Je veux un exercice que je peux maintenir.  J&rsquo;ai suivi un entra\u00eenement intensif (marathon) et, m\u00eame si c&rsquo;est g\u00e9nial pendant un certain temps, ce n&rsquo;est certainement pas r\u00e9alisable \u00e0 long terme et on ne finit par se d\u00e9motiver qu&rsquo;une fois que l&rsquo;on tombe du wagon d&rsquo;entra\u00eenement.  En me fixant des objectifs r\u00e9alisables, je me sens mieux mentalement, ce qui me met dans le bon \u00e9tat d&rsquo;esprit pour aborder le prochain cours.<span class=\"s1\">I want exercise that I can maintain.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve been through intensive training (marathon) and, while it\u2019s great for a while, it\u2019s certainly not achievable long term and you only end up demotivated once you fall off the training wagon.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>By setting achieveable goals, I feel better mentally, putting me in the right mindset to tackle the next class.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Donc, si vous \u00eates nouveau sur CicloZone, que vous revenez apr\u00e8s un certain temps libre, ou que vous \u00eates comme moi \u2013 vous remettez d\u2019une blessure, fixez-vous un objectif r\u00e9aliste, installez-vous progressivement, f\u00e9licitez-vous pour avoir suivi ce premier cours \u2013 m\u00eame si c\u2019est le seul que vous faites cette semaine-l\u00e0. C&rsquo;est mieux que de ne pas en faire du tout !<span class=\"s1\">So, if you\u2019re new to CicloZone, coming back after some time off, or you\u2019re like me \u2013 recovering from injury, set yourself a realistic target, ease yourself in gradually, give yourself a pat on the back for doing that first class \u2013 even if it\u2019s the only one you do that week.
