Je suis un d\u00e9corateur ind\u00e9pendant depuis plus de trente ans et mesurant 5 pieds 4 pouces, comme mon p\u00e8re. \u00c7a ne m\u2019emp\u00eache pas de faire n\u2019importe quoi, \u00e0 part \u00eatre policier, j\u2019imagine\u2026 !<span class=\"s1\">Hi there, m<\/span><span class=\"s1\">y name is Anthony Robinson. My friends just call me Tony. I am a self employed decorator of thirty plus years and 5 feet 4 inches tall, same as my dad. It doesn\u2019t stop me from doing anything, apart from being a policeman, I suppose\u2026!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 le fitness vers l\u2019\u00e2ge de 18 ans apr\u00e8s un commentaire d\u00e9sinvolte d\u2019un ami sur mon poids. Cela a fonctionn\u00e9 et j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 manger et \u00e0 m&rsquo;entra\u00eener pour \u00eatre en meilleure forme. J\u2019ai perdu beaucoup de poids et je me suis dit : \u00ab\u00a0Eh bien, je ne suis pas en forme\u00a0\u00bb ?!<span class=\"s1\">I started fitness training around the age of 18 after a glib comment about my weight from a friend. It worked and I began eating and training to get fitter. I lost a chunk of weight and thought \u2018well aren\u2019t I fit\u2019?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Vers 23 ans, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 le Karat\u00e9 \u2013 maintenant que je suis en forme \u2013 et j\u2019ai ador\u00e9 \u00e7a, je n\u2019ai arr\u00eat\u00e9 que lorsque je suis parti vivre au Canada pendant un an et puis, de retour chez moi un an plus tard, je courais encore un peu mais je marchais aussi \u2013 une autre de mes activit\u00e9s pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9es, comme vous le verrez sur la photo. J&rsquo;ai termin\u00e9 149 Wainwrights jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent.<span class=\"s1\">At around 23, I took up Karate &#8211; now that IS fit &#8211; and I loved it, didn\u2019t stop until I went to live in Canada for a year and then, back home a year later,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I was still running a bit but also fell walking &#8211; another of my favourite activities, as you\u2019ll see from the photo. I\u2019ve completed 149 Wainwrights so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">En parall\u00e8le de la marche, j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 l&rsquo;entra\u00eenement en circuit avec un groupe de gars de judo que j&rsquo;ai rencontr\u00e9s \u2013 ce n&rsquo;est pas mon sport, le judo \u2013 un sport vraiment difficile mais pas pour moi. Mais j\u2019adorais les circuits et je ne me suis arr\u00eat\u00e9 qu\u2019\u00e0 cause du COVID-19.<span class=\"s1\">Alongside the fell walking, I started circuit training with a bunch of Judo guys I met &#8211; not my sport, Judo &#8211; a real tough one but not for me. But I loved circuits and only stopped because of COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the saddle<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">En selle<br \/>\nQuoi qu&rsquo;il en soit, il y a environ 4 ans, j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 le v\u00e9lo.  J\u2019avais besoin de quelque chose \u00e0 faible impact car le temps n\u2019est pas doux et, depuis la quarantaine, le poids est plus difficile \u00e0 d\u00e9placer. J&rsquo;ai vraiment aim\u00e9. En fait, apr\u00e8s \u00eatre sur les collines, il n&rsquo;y a pas de meilleure sensation que d&rsquo;\u00eatre sur votre v\u00e9lo et de vous mettre au d\u00e9fi.<span class=\"s1\">Anyway, about 4 years ago I started cycling.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I needed something low impact because time isn\u2019t kind and, since my 40s, weight is harder to shift. I really liked it. In fact, next to being on the fells there is no better feeling than being on your bike challenging yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9fis de 100 milles \u2013 le Coast to Coast en une journ\u00e9e et Le Jog (926 milles en 12 jours). Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, \u00e9tant asthmatique, j\u2019ai parfois du mal si je n\u2019obtiens pas le bon \u00e9quilibre.<span class=\"s1\">I have done various 100 mile challenges &#8211; the Coast to Coast in a day and Le Jog (926 miles in 12 days). Anyway, with being asthmatic I do sometimes struggle if I don\u2019t get the balance correct.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Lorsque le dernier confinement a \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9, j\u2019ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019essayer de rester occup\u00e9 et, comme le travail s\u2019\u00e9tait tari pour la premi\u00e8re fois, j\u2019ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de rester en forme.<span class=\"s1\">When the most recent lockdown was announced, I decided to try and stay busy and, because work had dried up for the first time ever, I decided to keep fit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Je cherchais un nouveau v\u00e9lo de spinning \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque et je l&rsquo;ai r\u00e9duit \u00e0 trois v\u00e9los, choisissant finalement le Keizer M3i. Lors de mon premier trajet, je me suis demand\u00e9 ce que j&rsquo;avais fait, mais j&rsquo;ai t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9 l&rsquo;application Keizer et, avec les DVD Spinnervals, j&rsquo;allais bien \u2013 en fait, j&rsquo;ai m\u00eame commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 profiter du M3i.<span class=\"s1\">I was looking for a new spin bike around this time and narrowed it down to three bikes, ultimately choosing the Keiser M3i. My first ride on it left me wondering what I\u2019d done but I downloaded the Keiser app and, along with the Spinnervals DVDs,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I was doing ok &#8211; in fact I even started enjoying the M3i. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00c0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e0 la m\u00eame \u00e9poque, sur Facebook, j&rsquo;ai rejoint le groupe d&rsquo;utilisateurs M3 i et j&rsquo;ai recueilli de nombreux bons conseils. C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que j&rsquo;ai rencontr\u00e9 Darren Lee. Il m&rsquo;avait envoy\u00e9 une demande d&rsquo;amiti\u00e9 et nous avions \u00e9chang\u00e9 quelques mots. Peu de temps apr\u00e8s, il a mentionn\u00e9 qu&rsquo;il travaillait sur cette nouvelle application, CicloZone.<span class=\"s1\">At about this time on Facebook, I joined the M3 i users group and picked up lots of great tips. This is where I came across Darren Lee. He\u2019d sent me a friend request and we exchanged a few words. Shortly after, he mentioned he was working on this new app, CicloZone.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00c0 partir de l\u00e0, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 utiliser l\u2019application et j\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 que c\u2019\u00e9tait bien \u2013 je l\u2019ai appr\u00e9ci\u00e9\u00a0! Il existe de nombreux choix pour un entra\u00eenement structur\u00e9, ce qui est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s utile pour le cyclisme en ext\u00e9rieur. Puis est venu le changement de jeu\u2026 il a introduit FTP sur la plateforme\u00a0!<span class=\"s1\">From there I started using the app and thought it was good &#8211; I enjoyed it! There\u2019s plenty of choice for a structured workout, which really helps with outdoor cycling too. Then came the game changer\u2026 he introduced FTP to the platform!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">37 rides in 37 days<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">37 trajets en 37 jours<br \/>\n\u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, je faisais pas mal d&rsquo;entra\u00eenements CicloZone, parfois deux ou plus \u00e0 la fois, mais, apr\u00e8s FTP, cela \u00e9tait sur le point de changer.<span class=\"s1\">I was doing quite a lot of CicloZone workouts by this time, sometimes two or more at a time but, post FTP, that was about to change. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Le 30 d\u00e9cembre, j&rsquo;ai augment\u00e9 mon FTP \u00e0 140 et apr\u00e8s quatre ou cinq sorties au d\u00e9but de la nouvelle ann\u00e9e, j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de me mettre au d\u00e9fi en faisant une sortie CicloZone tous les jours.  C\u2019est ce que j\u2019ai fait : depuis les deux derniers jours de d\u00e9cembre jusqu\u2019au 4 f\u00e9vrier, j\u2019ai roul\u00e9 avec CicloZone tous les jours, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que je r\u00e9alise que je commen\u00e7ais \u00e0 reculer parce que je ne prenais pas assez de jours de repos.<span class=\"s1\">On 30 December, I increased my FTP to 140 and four or five rides into the New Year, I decided I\u2019d challenge myself by taking a CicloZone ride every day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So I did &#8211; from the last two days in December until 4 February, I rode with CicloZone every day, until I realised I was beginning to go backwards because I wasn\u2019t taking enough rest days. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Malgr\u00e9 cela, mon FTP est pass\u00e9 \u00e0 182, ce qui est incroyable !<span class=\"s1\">Despite this, my FTP increased to 182, which is amazing!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">J&rsquo;ai eu du mal pendant un moment apr\u00e8s, car je ne me reposais pas suffisamment comme je l&rsquo;avais r\u00e9alis\u00e9, mais apr\u00e8s avoir parl\u00e9 \u00e0 Darren, j&rsquo;ai baiss\u00e9 mon FTP \u00e0 174 et r\u00e9cemment, le jour de mon 60e anniversaire, j&rsquo;ai en fait suivi trois cours CicloZone l&rsquo;un apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;autre !<span class=\"s1\">I did struggle for a while afterwards, due to not resting enough as I\u2019d realised, but after talking to Darren, I dropped my FTP to 174 and recently, on my 60th birthday, I actually took three CicloZone classes one after the other! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">L&rsquo;application est tr\u00e8s intelligemment structur\u00e9e, non seulement pour les grands cyclistes mais aussi pour le citoyen moyen dans la rue, comme moi.<span class=\"s1\">The app is very cleverly structured, not just for great cyclists but for the average guy in the street, like me. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Peu importe votre niveau de forme physique au d\u00e9part, cela am\u00e9liorera votre endurance et votre force, ainsi que votre mental !<span class=\"s1\">No matter your level of fitness at the start, it will improve your stamina and your strength, as well as your mind! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Le meilleur, c&rsquo;est que m\u00eame si Darren est un homme occup\u00e9, il est toujours disponible pour vous donner des conseils. Respect!<span class=\"s1\">The best thing is, although Darren is a busy man, he is always available to give you advice. Respect! <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alors, quelle est la prochaine \u00e9tape ? Continuez \u00e0 vous am\u00e9liorer et partez sur les routes pour r\u00e9colter les fruits. CicloZone m&rsquo;a apport\u00e9 un v\u00e9ritable boost de condition physique et est en constante \u00e9volution. Je compte \u00e9voluer avec !!<span class=\"s1\">So, what\u2019s next? Keep improving and get out on the roads to reap the rewards. CicloZone has given me a real fitness boost and is constantly evolving.
