Quiero decir, simplemente no fue algo a lo que estuve sometido y ciertamente no fue algo que me preocupara mucho\u2026 hasta hace poco.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Obviamente, durante la pandemia hubo una gran tensi\u00f3n en la salud mental de las personas y, para ser honesto, por primera vez en mi vida experiment\u00e9 esto. Sentimientos de ansiedad, frustraci\u00f3n y una preocupaci\u00f3n abrumadora me imped\u00edan dormir y afectaban mi concentraci\u00f3n y actitud incluso hacia las tareas cotidianas m\u00e1s simples. Incluso la compra semanal me estaba causando problemas.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Siendo el eterno competidor, siempre he visto un problema, resuelto la causa y entrenado para encontrar una soluci\u00f3n. Esto fue exactamente lo que comenc\u00e9 a hacer, para descubrir por qu\u00e9 estaba sufriendo esta nueva sensaci\u00f3n ahora a la edad de 50 a\u00f1os&#8230; Quiero decir, hab\u00eda vivido una vida que implicaba ser due\u00f1o de mis propios negocios, criar a dos hijos, casarme y divorciarme y, aunque estas cosas eran estresantes, nunca sent\u00ed que afectaran mi estado mental o mi capacidad para controlar o manejar situaciones. Entonces, cuando sent\u00ed que estos momentos de ansiedad me induc\u00edan el encierro, mi reacci\u00f3n fue, como siempre, subirme a mi bicicleta en mi cueva del dolor y montar.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Ya fuera la liberaci\u00f3n de endorfinas o la simple comodidad de andar en bicicleta, lo encontr\u00e9 aliviado y levant\u00f3 la nube que descend\u00eda sobre mi mundo cerrado y al menos me permiti\u00f3 concentrarme en el d\u00eda que ten\u00eda por delante.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Empec\u00e9 a prestar m\u00e1s atenci\u00f3n a c\u00f3mo actuaba mi mente cuando comenc\u00e9 a andar en bicicleta. \u00bfFue la m\u00fasica que escuchaba mientras montaba, o el aumento del ritmo card\u00edaco que permite que la sangre fluya m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente a mi cerebro, o tal vez el simple hecho de que ten\u00eda que estar tan concentrado en el trabajo f\u00edsico que estaba haciendo, que no permit\u00eda que mi cerebro se involucrara en la ansiedad o las preocupaciones? Descubr\u00ed que incluso prepararme para mi paseo en bicicleta poni\u00e9ndome los pantalones cortos con tirantes o apret\u00e1ndome los tacos de ciclismo inmediatamente comenz\u00f3 a liberar la ansiedad y cuando andaba en bicicleta era obvio que muy r\u00e1pidamente, a medida que aumentaba el estr\u00e9s f\u00edsico, el estr\u00e9s mental comenzaba a disminuir. Descubr\u00ed que cuanto m\u00e1s t\u00e9cnico era el viaje y cuanto m\u00e1s me concentraba en la informaci\u00f3n de los datos del viaje que ten\u00eda frente a m\u00ed en la pantalla de mi tableta, m\u00e1s absorto estaba en el viaje y m\u00e1s alejado estaba de mis ansiedades. Tratar de mantener la cadencia y la intensidad correctas y asegurarme de concentrarme en mis per\u00edodos de recuperaci\u00f3n me ayud\u00f3 a vaciar mi negatividad y reforzar los pensamientos positivos en mi mente. Fue la comprensi\u00f3n de la ciencia detr\u00e1s de mi ciclismo lo que centr\u00f3 mi mente m\u00e1s en la actividad, lo que me dio la liberaci\u00f3n mental.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Mi conocimiento sobre el reclutamiento muscular y el desarrollo del sistema energ\u00e9tico para m\u00ed es una segunda naturaleza cuando ando en bicicleta, y el simple hecho de que siempre me ense\u00f1aron que la mejor manera de andar en bicicleta es en un espacio mental tranquilo y relajado, incluso en momentos de estr\u00e9s f\u00edsico extremo, ahora estaba demostrando ser uno de los mayores beneficios de mi ciclismo.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">S\u00ed, estaba haciendo un gran ejercicio f\u00edsico, pero esto realmente me estaba ayudando mucho m\u00e1s. Fue entonces cuando me di cuenta de que la raz\u00f3n por la que durante a\u00f1os nunca hab\u00eda sufrido la ansiedad y la preocupaci\u00f3n de la vida era porque siempre hab\u00eda practicado el ciclismo, que, hasta ahora, sin saberlo, hab\u00eda actuado como un enorme bot\u00f3n de reinicio todos los d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Ahora no solo hago ciclismo para estar en forma y no solo hago ciclismo para tratar de evitar que mi cuerpo luzca como un cuerpo de 50 a\u00f1os, tambi\u00e9n hago ciclismo porque s\u00e9 categ\u00f3ricamente que ayuda a mi estado mental y ciertamente me coloca en una posici\u00f3n mucho mejor y m\u00e1s enfocada para concentrarme en las cosas muy importantes que est\u00e1n sucediendo en mi vida en este momento mientras construyo mi nueva empresa.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Cuando comenc\u00e9 mi nuevo negocio, me dediqu\u00e9 al 100% al proceso, 10 horas al d\u00eda, 7 d\u00edas a la semana y no mont\u00e9 tanto como lo hab\u00eda hecho durante la mayor parte de mi vida. Ahora me doy cuenta de que fue un error y ahora dedico tiempo a mi bicicleta todos los d\u00edas.
